Remote Control a Running Firefox

Remote Control a Running Firefox

Have you been wondering how to automate Firefox using your own profile? Have you wanted to do data mining with javascript support as provided by the Firefox web browser? Have you been wearing the letters off your keyboard searching for a simple way of passing data between Firefox and external programs? Well, if you’ve been looking for a way to make macros without shelling out good cash for bad programs then, you can write your own using my latest project as a starting point.

Using my Visual Basic 2010 project as a starting point you can begin developing a windows forms application to automate Firefox. You will be able to use any profile you want to and changes to the profile settings will persist across sessions, you will not be operating on a copy of the profile. This project is ideal for developers familiar with Visual Basic, who have wanted to automate interactive sessions on Firefox.
